Now, almost all airlines provide internet access facilities to passengers during flights. Even the airline Singapore Airlines took a bolder breakthrough, unlimited free WiFi access to all passengers in all cabin classes. So cool!
In its release to TripZilla IndonesiaWednesday (31/5), Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced that it will provide the industry’s most comprehensive unlimited free WiFi access from 1 July 2023. This service will be extended to all travelers across all cabin classes, including PremiumEconomy Class And Economy Class.
This enhanced Wi-Fi offering will be available virtually across the entire aircraft fleet and on most global routes within the SIA network. Thus, customers in all cabin classes can stay in touch with those closest to them, doing work seamlessly on lineor follow the latest news or get updates from their social media, even while 36,000 feet in the air.
Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, Singapore Airlines, said that given the development of today’s increasingly connected digital world, high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity is an important requirement for our customers.
“Providing customers with free unlimited Wi-Fi service is an important step in SIA’s ongoing efforts to provide memorable travel experiences. With these service enhancements, our customers will be able to stay connected, entertained and productive, even at 36,000 feet in the air,” he said.
To enjoy this service, customers must enter their KrisFlyer membership details at the time of booking via options Online Manage Bookingor at the moment check in. Non KrisFlyer members can also register for free membership online or in-flight via the SIA digital content portal on their personal mobile device to enjoy free in-flight Wi-Fi.
Customers at Suites, First Class and Business Class, including PPS Club members, will continue to be given free and unlimited Wi-Fi access during the flight. Additionally, as of February 2023, KrisFlyer members traveling on PremiumEconomy Class And Economy Class also has free Wi-Fi access with a duration of three hours and two hours respectively.
